3D art when I have time
Making this panda was a fun one. Again I reused all the parts from the cow and pig and adjusted it to make the panda. Reusing assets from previous projects really sped the work up.
This time I switched the previous plant out for a bamboo since I felt that would be more fitting. The bamboo came from CGtrader.
This panda was my first time using texture painting. So I needed to UV unwrap the body first and then start painting. 慢慢来。This was the tutorial that helped me:
This was one of my first renders. I used a concrete wall as a texture for all the buildings. I first modeled one small building and then used an array modifier to copy them repeatedly.
I downloaded Blender a few years ago to make 3D art for as a hobby, but I felt that the software was not easy to use. The interface was a bit complicated and I didn’t have the patience to learn it.
With the release of Blender 2.8, I decided to give it a shot again and I have found it much easier and fun to use. There are tons of tutorials on youtube to use this diverse free program.
